This was my first chair serving as chair for the committee. I enjoyed the work. Communication for this committee was done via email and the telephone. The committee and I communicated well via these methods. Announcements were sent out on the SCLA website, requesting submission of names for our various awards. The announcements were slow in coming in but they were received in time for us to get everything done in time for the Conference.

Thank you everyone for all of your nominations and input. Please start thinking now for people you would consider for an award and send in your nominations. You should know of a person in our profession who has done outstanding work.

Thanks to my committee members and all the persons that help make my first year as chair a memorable year. Please let us continue to work together. We look forward to working with each of you as we plan our new Conference.

Sincerely,

Doris Johnson-Felder
