B. Duties:
- Recommends guidelines for official publications to the Executive Board for approval.
- Assists the editors of Association publications by suggesting articles for publication, securing them, and writing for publication when possible.
- Assists in other matters at the request of the editors of Association publications.
- Contacts Sections and Round Tables of the Association for suggested individuals to serve as reporters for Association publications.
- Appoints a member of the committee to serve as liaison to the Southeastern Librarian in order to disseminate information of regional interest concerning South Carolina Librarians.
- Suggests guidelines for advertising rates for Association publications.
- Examines the financial condition of the Association publications.
- Assists the Executive Secretary in the collection of materials for the South Carolina Library Association Archives.
- Ensures publicity of news (especially dates of events) and information on related professional associations in South Carolina Library Association publications.
- Ensures that an official copy of all publications is sent to the Executive Secretary for inclusion in the South Carolina Library Association Archives.
