Have the responsibilities in your once traditional job changed? Are you
in a newly created position? We are seeking South Carolina Librarians to
participate in a panel discussion about ways their job duties are changing to
meet users' needs and the demands of new technology. The purpose of
this SCLA program is to provide a glimpse into the future of librarianship
by examining new jobs and skills for today's librarians. The keynote
session will feature Lori Goetsch, President-Elect of ACRL and Dean of
Libraries at Kansas State University, who will discuss emerging roles in
the profession and update us on related ACRL activities. The panel session will
take place in the afternoon.

Each panelist will be asked to speak for approximately 10 – 12 minutes
and to then participate in a 15 minute panel-audience question and answer
