librarian the opportunity for rapid professional growth in academic
librarianship. The two-year program is designed to provide a broad introduction
to academic librarianship, a supportive environment for professional
exploration, and an opportunity for concentrated experience in an area of
specialization. The purpose of the program is to help increase the presence of
underrepresented groups in academic librarianship. Towson University values

&nbsp;Library administrators, faculty, and staff will serve as formal and
informal mentors and will help the Resident acclimate to the library,
university and Greater Baltimore metro area. </span><br>

Residency Librarian will work with his or her supervisor and mentor to identify

the needs of the library. A goal of this project is for the Resident, working
independently or with a mentor, to develop, complete and report research to be
presented at a professional conference or in a professional journal.</span> <br>

be appointed for a two-year term with non-tenure track visiting faculty status.
Salary is commensurate with that of an entry-level professional librarian. Full
